1Using Rovi
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, apply whenever you use the Rovi app. If you do not agree with them, please do not use Rovi.
2Who can use Rovi
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must not have been banned from Rovi before, and you must be allowed to use it under the laws that apply to you.
- You may have one account. The information you give us must be accurate, and your profile must represent you.
3Your account
You sign in with a code sent to your email or phone, or with Google or Apple. Keep access to them secure and never share a verification code — you are responsible for what happens on your account. Signing in on a new device ends your session on the previous one. Guest accounts can use part of the app and are tied to the device they were created on.
4Community rules
Rovi is for meeting people and having a good time together. You must not:
- Harass, bully, threaten or intimidate anyone, or encourage others to.
- Post hate speech, or content that attacks people for their religion, ethnicity, nationality, gender, disability or any similar characteristic.
- Post sexual content, nudity or sexual solicitation — and never anything that sexualises minors, which we report to the authorities.
- Post violent or graphic content, or promote self-harm, illegal activity, drugs or weapons.
- Scam or defraud people, ask them for money, or spam them with messages, links or advertising.
- Impersonate someone else or create fake accounts.
- Share anyone’s private information, photos or messages without their permission.
- Post content you do not have the right to share, such as someone else’s copyrighted work.
- Cheat in games, manipulate rankings, leagues or balances, or exploit bugs.
- Use bots, scrapers or other automated means to access Rovi, or interfere with how it works.
5Meeting people safely
Rovi helps you meet new people, but we do not run background checks and cannot vouch for anyone. Be careful about what you share. If you decide to meet someone in person, meet in a public place and tell a friend where you are going. Report anyone who makes you feel unsafe.
6Your content
You own the content you post. By posting it, you give Rovi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and distribute it within Rovi, only as far as needed to run and improve the service. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account — except for copies other people already hold, such as messages you sent them, and for the thirty days we keep deleted content to investigate abuse.
You are responsible for what you post, and you must have the right to post it.
7Moderation and enforcement
We review reports and may remove content, limit features, or suspend or permanently ban accounts that break these terms or put others at risk — without notice when safety requires it. Room owners and moderators can also remove people from their rooms. If you think we made a mistake, contact us and we will look at it again.
8Coins, diamonds and virtual items
- Coins, diamonds, gifts, store items, room upgrades and other virtual items are a limited, personal licence to use features inside Rovi. They are not money, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged for money, sold or transferred outside the features Rovi provides.
- Prices, and what items do, may change. Items bought for a period of time expire at the end of it.
- Unused balances and items are lost if your account is deleted or banned.
- Purchases are final, except where the law or the rules of the App Store or Google Play give you a right to a refund.
9VIP memberships
- A VIP membership can be bought through the App Store or Google Play, by card through Paymob, or with coins. The price and the period are shown before you buy.
- Memberships bought through the App Store or Google Play renew automatically until you cancel them in your store account settings. Deleting your Rovi account does not cancel them — cancel them in the store.
- Memberships paid by card renew automatically with the card you saved, unless you cancel them in the app. Memberships bought with coins do not renew.
- If you cancel, you keep the benefits until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds follow the store’s rules or the law.
10Voice rooms and games
Room owners set the rules for their rooms and are responsible for how they are run. Voice rooms are live: be respectful, and do not record or share what others say without their permission. Games on Rovi are for entertainment only; they involve no real money, and nothing won in them has cash value.
11Other services
Some features rely on services from Apple, Google, Paymob and others, which have their own terms. We are not responsible for their services.
12Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering Rovi. What happens to your information when an account is deleted is described in our Privacy Policy and on the Delete account page.
13Disclaimers
Rovi is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep it running and safe, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors, or that you will find the connections you are looking for. We are not responsible for how other users behave, on or off Rovi.
14Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Rovi is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for the loss of data, profits or virtual items, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
15Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and we will tell you in the app about significant changes before they take effect. If you keep using Rovi after that, you accept the updated terms.
16Governing law
[The law that governs these terms and the courts that will hear disputes — to be completed by the owner.]
